A little bit about me
My name is Saioa Sotillo and I am a young illustratorand concept artist.
I´ve lived in Bizkaia, Spain all my life, but my dream is to travel all around the world.
Since I was a child, I had a great passion for anything that involved using my creativity.
That's why I decided to study arts. I specialized in Graphic Design at the university and this year I completed a Master's Degree on Illustration and Concept Art on Centro Pixels.
My favorite area is Children illustration and Character design. However, I always strive to try and participate in different projects and styles.
My work experience
Online store and events
Since 2019, I have been working on building my personal brand. I have opened two successful online merchandising stores. Additionally, I regularly participate in various manga/anime/comic events such as Japan Weekend in Madrid and Cometcon in Gijon.
This experience has allowed me to explore diverse areas and styles, and has further enhanced my skills in face-to-face customer interaction.
Merchandising workshop
In 2022, I opened my own workshop along with another artist. We creat merchandise, not only for ourselves but also for other artists.
This experience has greatly contributed to improving my knowledge of how to deal with clients, handle processes, and work as a team.
Freelance illustrator
Since I opened my personal store, I have had the opportunity to work with many people on custom orders.
These processes have given me a clear idea of how to deliver documents, revisions of work, obtain the client's idea, etc.
